CMC Rescue is proud to co-sponsor the International Technical Rescue Symposium and a long time supporter of the U.S. delegate
to the Terrestrial Rescue Commission of the International Commission for Alpine Rescue (KAR).
CMC is also a founding member of the Society of Professional Rope Access Technicians (SPRAT). Members of our staff are active a professional firefighters and SAR volunteers and have served on the board of directors of the National Association for Search and Rescue (NASAR). Through active participation in national standards committees, CMC Rescue helps develop standards to enhance rescuer safety. Our staff are members of the NFPA technical committees which are responsible for the NFPA 1983 Standard on Life Safety Rope and Emergency Equipment for Emergency Services, and the NFPA 1670 Standard on Operations and Training for Technical Search & Rescue Incidents. We are also on the ASTM F-32 Committee on Search and Rescue and the ASSE Committee for ANSI Z359 standard on fall protection.
SPRAT 2008 ANNUAL CONFERENCE
