Society of Professional Rope Access Technicians

CMC is a founding member of the Society of Professional Rope Access Technicians (SPRAT). Members of our staff are active professional firefighters
and SAR volunteers and have served on the board of directors of the National Association for Search and Rescue (NASAR).
Through active participation in national standards committees, CMC Rescue helps develop standards to enhance rescuer safety.
Our staff are members of the NFPA technical committees which are responsible for the NFPA 1983 Standard on Life Safety Rope
and Emergency Equipment for Emergency Services, and the NFPA 1670 Standard on Operations and Training for Technical Search &
Rescue Incidents. We are also on the ASTM F-32 Committee on Search and Rescue and the ASSE Committee for ANSI Z359 standard
on fall protection.
SPRAT 2010 ANNUAL CONFERENCE
The SPRAT 2010 Annual Conference will be held January 14-16, 2010 at the Astor Crowne Plaza in New Orleans, Louisiana. The conference will be hosted
by CAN USA and Rope Access Technology USA, and the program will include technical presentations of interest to rope access professionals, the 3rd Annual
Rope Access Olympics, Standards Committee Meetings, and the Annual Business Meeting.
