This three-day, 24-hour hands-on intensive course is specifically designed to teach skills required by fire department, public works & other agencies involved in disaster response and US&R operations. It combines basic structural principals with practical skills in site evaluation and shoring techniques. To our knowledge, this is the only course of its kind that specializes in hands-on building shoring techniques for First Responders.
Topics Covered Include: Safety practices; indications of collapse; formations of voids; shoring principles and concepts; stages of search and rescue; handling and removing casualties; and post incident debriefing.
Course Includes: CMC Rescue School Certificate; CMC Structural Collapse & Emergency Building Shores & Shoring Notebook; and CMC Rescue School T-Shirt.
Enrollment Requirements: Rescue Systems I or a background in basic rope rescue is suggested. Please call if you have any questions. You must be at least 18 years old to attend.
Class Size: Limited to 20 students. We emphasize hands-on instruction and encourage participation by everyone in the class.
