Online orders of in-stock merchandise are generally shipped within 24 hours. Ordering at cmcrescue.com is fast and secure. Just follow these five simple steps to place your order:

  1. To add an item from the equipment section or schedule a class from the training section (both of which will be added to your shopping cart), click the red "Add to Cart" text on any title's detail page.
  2. After verifying the contents within your cart when you're finished shopping, click the purchase button at the bottom-right corner of your screen.
  3. Next, provide your customer log in information (click the "I'm a New User" button if you are a new online customer).
  4. Choose your shipping method, and fill in the shipping address form. Click the continue button.
  5. Fill in your payment information and billing address. Click the purchase button to get your confirmation order number and you're officially done!
CMC Rescue will send you an order confirmation via e-mail. An account is automatically created for you once you place your first order so you won't have to enter all the information again when you order next.

Reserving Classes
Reserving a seat for a CMC Rescue training course online is as easy as purchasing a product. Simply select the class you are interested in by accessing the pull-down menu in the Training section of the website, or under the classes link in the Calendar section. Once selecting the class, you will notice the "add to cart" text appearing in red to the right of the class details. Verify the dates you would like to attend the class, select the quantity of seats you wish to reserve, and click on the "add to cart" button.

CMC Rescue Limited Warranty
CMC Rescue, Inc. warrants to the original purchaser that CMC manufactured products will be free from defects in materials and workmanship. This express warranty and all implied warranties imposed by law are limited to one year duration from the date of original purchase. In the event of such a defect during the warranty period, CMC agrees, at its option, to repair or replace the product returned under warranty. This warranty does not apply to any damage caused by misuse, neglect, accident, improper application or installation, or to any damage caused by any repair or attempted repair not authorized by CMC. No further warranties exist or are implied by CMC due to the high risks involved in rescue services, and in other activities including, but not limited to, mountaineering, rock climbing, rappelling, and caving, which risks can be reduced only through the skill, training, and judgment of the individual participant. This limited warranty excludes, and CMC shall not be liable for, any incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages arising out of the breach of the express or implied warranties on sales by CMC or otherwise. This limited warranty in no way limits or alters other manufacturers' warranties on products that are sold or distributed by CMC. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts nor the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you.

Ordering Terms and Conditions
By placing an order the customer acknowledges agreement to the terms and conditions stated below and acknowledges having read and understood the important warnings listed below. The customer further agrees that the laws of the state of California shall apply to the purchase or any dispute arising therefrom.
Prices. Prices are FOB Santa Barbara, California. All prices are subject to change without notice.
Specifications. Specifications in the catalog are based on each manufacturer’s representations. CMC Rescue, Inc. is not responsible for their accuracy or completeness. All specifications are subject to change without notice.
Payment. Payments shall be in the legal tender of the United States. Shipments may be held up to three weeks for the check to clear the bank. All fees incurred in collecting a past due account are the responsibility of the purchaser. A $20 service fee will be charged for any check returned by the bank.
Shipping. Delivery to the carrier constitutes delivery to the customer. Visible damage should be reported to the carrier when the package is received. Please notify CMC of any problems immediately. Claims reported more than 15 days after receipt may be denied.
Return Policy. Contact Customer Service for a Return Materials Authorization (RMA) number before returning any merchandise for any reason. CMC is not responsible for any merchandise returned without an RMA number. Returned merchandise will be inspected and may be subject to a restocking fee. Absolutely no returns on rope, web, web products, videos or sale items, unless the item was received in a damaged condition and an RMA number is requested within 5 days of receipt of shipment. On all other returns, an RMA must be requested within 15 days of the invoice date.
Adult Signature Required on Deliveries. Due to liability reasons, CMC can only accept orders from adults. When an adult is making a purchase for a minor, it is the adult's responsibility to determine that the ordered items are appropriate and that adequate education and supervision will be provided. Proof of age may be required.

Delivery Times
CMC business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm Pacific Standard Time. Orders are typically processed within 24 hours, in-stock items usually ship by the next business day. Delivery options are UPS Next-Day Air, 2nd-Day Air and Surface during normal hours of operation. No charges are applied until a shipment has been made. International deliveries are shipped via Fed-Ex. For other options, contact CMC prior to order placement.

Please read these Important Warnings
Many of the activities for which CMC Rescue products are used pose a very substantial risk of serious injury or death. Be certain you carefully review all of the following information.

Products manufactured and sold by CMC Rescue, Inc. are intended for use by professionals trained and experienced in the use, inspection, and maintenance of these products. All individuals using CMC products must have the same professional level of skill.

Technical rescue, rappelling, climbing, and the training involved are very hazardouse activities. Each situation has its own unique conditions and must be evaluated by those present. Effective risk management comes from experience, proper training, and good personal judgment.

LIMITS OF LIABILITY: CMC is not liable for any damages arising from abuse or improper use of the equipment, falure to follow adequate safety precaustions, or breach of the duty of either the purhases or user. Adequate training and judgement are needed to reduce the risks inherent in the use of this equipment. Since these risks are out of the control of CMC, the liability shifts to the user and purchaser.

DUTY OF PURCHASER AND USER: It is the responsibility of the purchaser and the user of the products manufactured by CMC Rescue, Inc. to:

  • Read the product instructions and labels and follow them. If you do not have a copy of the instructions request a copy from CMC Rescue Inc, PO Box 6870, Santa Barbara, CA 93160-6870.
  • Inspect the product immediately after purchase and before and after each use. Read the note on inspection below.
  • Receive training in the proper use of the equipment and in the appropriate techniques. Proper training includes safety procedures, limitations of the equipment, inspection of the equipment, and risk management. If you are not competent in the use of the product, do not use it. See the note on training below.
  • Determine if the product is suitable for its intended use and that it meets all applicable standards and regulations. The manufacturer can provide assistance but cannot be expected to knowledgeable of all worldwide standards and regulations.
  • Use good judgement and do not exceed the limitations of the user's skill or of the equipment
  • Use adequate safety precautions including belays and backup systems. Practice risk management at all times.
  • Do not alter the product in any way. Repairs must be done only according to the manufacturer's instructions or returned to the manufacturer for repair. Alterations may void warranty.
  • If the purchaser is not the user of the product, the purchases must provide each user with a copy of this notice and the product instructions. If additional copies of this notice, or the product instructions are needed, they can be obtained from CMC.

INSPECTION: Each department involved in rescue operations is expected to have a policy for inspecting high-aangle life-support equipment. Inspection should be no less than after each use and inspections must be done by personnel that meet the department's training standard for inspecting life-support equipment. Inspection dates should be recorded on a tag attached to the equipment or in the equipment log. Each user should be trained in equipment inspection and should do a cursory inspection before each use.

TRAINING: It is the responsibility of the purchaser to ensure that each user is adequately and competently trainined in the use of the product. Training is available from several resources, including the CMC Rescue School. We also offer a variety of reference guides to assist in the proper selection and use of the products.
